Marissa & the Starter Packs

Marissa & the Starter Packs formed in 2023 in Ypsilanti, Michigan simply because there was a desire to rock with powerhouse vocals, positive messages, and intricate instrumentation. When you come to a Marissa & the Starter Packs show, you will be on the edge of your seat with vulnerable originals, a unique selection of covers, and four musicians who know how to play and entertain.

Marissa Conniff leads the band with a big voice and presence. All of the originals are written by Marissa, who wears her heart on her sleeve while singing at the top of her lungs. Dan Hunter’s basslines add a groove and funk to every upbeat jam or a soft and buttery feel to ballads. William Bennett’s piano skills cannot be denied, as he combines unique and intricate combinations to even the simplest of pop songs. Drummer, Ken Kozora, is the true hero of the band, bringing his decades of expertise, mentorship, and unmatchable vibes to this collection of multifaceted artists.
